These are very beautiful paintings. Tulips are my favourite flower, Tears of Endearment speaks volumes to my heart, and Transforming Fire reminds me of a dream I had in 1986… yes, it was that powerful!
In the dream I was given a vision of an orange sphere made up of a very long luminescent string that vibrated with light running through it. Something about the movement in your painting and the lines suggests the image I saw. When I went to India I did a fair bit of fire ceremony with a Tibetan Swami. This somehow fits in too. I see how the sphere may have meant transformation through fire.

Congratulations Anne, I do regret that I cannot be there for the opening as I was at the first one. I love all the motion of the new paintings. To me they are mandalas full of life and motion. You are an inspiration, really enacting what the small voices say deep within you.

    Wow,

    Love and hugs, Ann

Dear Anne, I also as a child looked at paintings and drawings and thought I wish I could do that.
Well I am long past childhood and I still stand and think I wish I could do that!!

I love your show and look forwards to seeing you next week.
    Yrs. Sheila.

    Hi Anne
Thanks for sharing. I too believed that I didn’t have any talent for drawing and painting but always wanted to do it. I still don’t feel that I am able to draw well but recently found a talent for painting. I do trace the outlines of pictures then blend my own colours and fill in to create the images I want. I believe no one is ever too old to learn something new. Sometimes in just trying to do something different in our lives can bring out an amazing peace and balance in our hectic everyday lives. Thanks.

Dianne, so good to hear from you and learn that you are doing some art. I still am not great at drawing but have taken the same fundamental drawing class about 6 times and do believe anyone can learn to draw with practice. Keep doing what you enjoy and don’t fear trying new things. all the best. Anne
